How to Join

Prospective members may either choose to join via our Online Store or by lodging an Application Form via mail, email or fax.

When lodging your Application Form or joining Online, please ensure you include the necessary documentation; this is to ensure your application is processed without delay.  The documentation for your application will be determined by the level of membership you’re applying for. If you choose to join via our Online Store, the required documentation can be uploaded at the time of application or supplied at a later date to Massage Australia.

What is required to apply for Membership?

General Membership – No qualification is required for this level of membership. Applicants can join as a General member via the Online Store or by printing off the Massage Australia Application Form and returning it to Massage Australia via email, post or fax.

Professional Membership – This level of membership is for qualified practitioners. Applicants are required to provide Massage Australia with:

Copy of Massage Qualification – A certified copy of your certificate and transcript.

Applicants can join via the Online Store or by printing off the Massage Australia Application Form and returning it to Massage Australia via email, post or fax. If joining via the Online Store you can attach copies of required document or supply them to Massage Australia at a later date.

Professional Plus Membership – This level of membership is for qualified practitioners. Applicants are required to provide Massage Australia with:

Copy of Massage Qualification – A certified copy of your certificate and transcript.

Copy of First Aid certificate

If you currently hold insurance cover, a copy of your Insurance Certificate of Currency for Professional Indemnity and Public Liability is required.

If you require Insurance cover, please tick ‘yes’ to question two in the ‘Checklist’ section on the MA Application Form. Once your application has been processes you will receive your MA member number along with the Insurance Application Form via email. Once you have organised insurance cover, you are required to provide a copy of the Certificate of Currency to Massage Australia.

Applicants can join via the Online Store or by printing off the Massage Australia Application Form and returning it to Massage Australia via email, post or fax. If joining via the Online Store, you are able to attach copies of required documents or need to supply them to Massage Australia at a later date.

Upgrade of Membership – As a current General or Professional member you have the ability to upgrade your membership at any time, providing you meet the criteria. Please refer to the above requirements for each level of membership to see if you meet the criteria.
